MSC has officially released renderings of its new ship, MSC Bellissima, exactly 100 days before it will be officially named in Southampton.
The second ship in the Meraviglia class will be officially named in the UK’s most popular port on March 2nd 2019.
Bellissima will be deployed in Asia in Spring 2020 following its Mediterranean season in summer next year.
The 4,500-guest vessel will be the first in then fleet to launch Amazon Alexa-style virtual assistants in every cabin as a “cruise-industry first”, aswell as a load of other exciting features.
Eateries onboard Bellissima will include the Marketplace Buffet with panoramic sea views.
Guests can also choose between Kaito’s Sushi Bar and Kaito Teppanyaki.
Guests can relax in the main Atmosphere pool onboard MSC Bellissima.
The ship will also have a 700-metre square children’s play area.
Entertainment onboard will include a Formula 1 simulator, Sports Bar, TV studio & bar.
Entertainment will also include the Amazon Waterpark.
MSC will reduce the ship’s environmental footprint with a number of features:
-An exhaust gas cleaning system for cleaner emissions
-An advanced wastewater treatment system
-LED lighting and smart devices to significantly save energy
Antonio Paradiso, managing director for UK & Ireland, commented on Bellissima’s naming ceremony next year: “The event, as always, promises to be a star studded, glittering affair with over 5,000 people attending over the three-day period from over 20 countries around the world.”
