Princess to Include Drinks on Caribbean Sailings.

Drinks package, drink package, drinks package…The 2 words I have definitely heard the biggest increase in being asked about in the last 5 years, back when I first started out in travel, they simply did not exist and like the mobile phone, we can how seemingly not be able to cope without them.

Princess cruises have just announced their decision to includes their beverage package on nearly 250 Caribbean cruises. Cruisers will get up to $1500 onboard spending money per stateroom and drinks when booking a Caribbean cruise. The deal is available from 2nd July to the 31st, on six of the line’s ships departing from 1st December 2019 to 22nd May 2021.

So what’s included in the drinks package?

Guests one and two in the cabin, can take advantage of an all-inclusive drinks package which includes cocktails, speciality coffee, tea, wine, beer and premium spirits. Any additional cabin guests will receive a package comprising mocktails, smoothies, fruit juices, hot chocolate, coffee and tea and soft drinks. The Premium Beverage package is normally priced at $59.99 per person, so quite the saving.

The newest addition to the Princess Cruises‘ fleet, Sky Princess, has over 17 different itineraries included in the offer on 58 sailings. The multi-million-pound ship, which launches in October this year will sail a variety of Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean itineraries from December 2019 to March 2021. A 3660 guest ship, we are very excited to be introduced too!

Alongside, the Sky Princess, fan favourite 3,560 guests Regal Princess and the newly awaited 3,660 guests Enchanted princess also feature in the offer – featuring multiple sailings through Eastern and Western Caribbean. Whilst, the smaller 2,200 guest ship Island Princess will depart on a circle Caribbean itinerary.

  1. I agree that Princess drinks prices are outrageous. However, a cost effective alternative is to buy your wine ashore and pay the corkage charge. We did that during a cruise around Australia, where we purchased some lovely wines, and saved a lot of money. I don’t object to the Princess practice of quoting separately for flights. Again, we have saved a lot of money by booking a cruise only fare – and arranging our own flights. That also helps us to choose the departure airport, airline and flight timings.
