Easter Break

Well, I’m sure I am with everyone in thinking what a perfect time for summer to turn up, just as 2 bank holidays grace us with their presence. I managed to have all 4 days off and managed to spend the vast majority of it outside in the glorious sunshine! Good Friday we had decided to do our usual Easter break tradition and visit Belton House to complete the Easter Egg Hunt. Starkly different to last year, as it was hammering down and we got drenched! Sadly for us, a huge amount of people had the same idea and it took us about an hour to complete the last mile of the journey. It was worth it once we got in though. They have a huge park there which the kids just love.

Saturday we hosted a big family BBQ with the good ladies family coming over with all our nieces and nephew. He is 4 and absolutely car-obsessed so you can imagine his face when his dad had arranged for one of his friends who was getting married this weekend to come over in the Lamborghini he had hired for the weekend, and he even took him for a spin in it!

Sunday was a far more chilled affair so we went to my future brother in laws for the night in the sticks. It was lovely and quiet. A perfect way to get over the 1st 2 days of running around and hosting. We had a beautiful roast with all the trimmings and spent the night laughing around the fire pit.

Monday I had one of my worse ideas ever! I mowed the lawn and decided to finally move the tonne of bark I have had sitting around for ages to place around the kids climbing frame. I was rather damp by the time I finished!
