Fantastic week , Fantastic ship and Fantastic weather

Well my family and I are just back from a fantastic week on the MSC Seaview and what a great week we had we were totally blessed with amazing weather.

She is a huge ship holding 5500 passengers which I was personally dreading but my son chose the ship as it was his 16th birthday whilst we were away, I never ever felt like there were this many people at all. From embarking to disembarking everything was so well organised. The one thing that struck me straight away and this was everywhere you went was the atmosphere there was always music playing and felt really lively. We had a port of call every day which is something I am not used to but it was nice as some days we didn’t arrive until lunchtime or later and then we stayed later in port. We visited Corsica, Genoa, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Cannes and Palma we mainly did our own thing in port bar one excursion in Cannes as this was the place I was really looking forward to see. We had booked a balcony cabin which was fairly near the back of the ship on deck 11 which was great for getting around to the outside decks if you wanted a quieter balcony I would certainly recommend going nearer the front as you can hear the entertainment from the pool deck on deck 16 but this did not bother us in the slightest as was only during the day.

The entertainment especially the shows in the theatre were fantastic probably up there with some of the best shows we have had at sea and they did have a full activity programme of things going on in the evening they had some parties in the atrium which were great.

We had second sitting which was at 8 o’clock and we did eat in the main restaurant nearly every night the food was fine there was a good choice and the waiters were great and made a real fuss of my son on his birthday!!

The buffet restaurants were great with lots of choice and different cuisines. We had the Easy drinks package which was drinks up to 6 euros and this was fine for us and the menus were indicated clearly.
There is so much more I can tell you about what we got up to but I’m going to hand over to my son who will tell you about the activities next time.
