A Square Deal Cruise ……

Remember Square deal holidays where you didn’t find out where you were staying till you got there ?

Imagine that on a cruise?

Would you consider leaving your destination to someone else?

Don’t know whether you will see the sun or the snow? A lot of people put a lot of planning, months of deciding where to go, when to go, reading reviews, scanning photos, into where they cruise to and have a bucket list they work through although I suppose this could be good if you are indecisive !!

Fred Olsen offers a couple of mystery cruises where there is only the captain that knows the destination and he won’t tell you until the last possible minute he can. I suppose this could be really exciting and is a different way to experience a cruise.

They offer two ‘Mystery Adventure’ cruises this year which include a nine-night sailing onboard Black Watch, departing from Liverpool on October 18th 2018, and a 12-night sailing onboard Balmoral departing from Southampton on November 12th 2018.

Fred Olsen has operated these cruises in the past but I have to say in 28 years I can’t recall ever booking anybody on these.

The great thing about these ships is they have both been recently refurbished so if you can guarantee that you will at least enjoy the upgraded facilities on board.

You get all the normal things included so you not being shortchanged on anything.

-Five-course à la carte dinners, casual breakfasts, lunch buffets and late-night snacks

-A wide choice of onboard activities and lectures throughout the day

-Luggage transfers between your room and the drop-off/pick-up point

-All UK port taxes (where collectable in advance)
