On Sunday 1st September I spent the day onboard Disney Magic and I was so excited. I previously missed out on a place so I was over the moon when there was a last-minute cancellation and I could take the space. It was such a fun day from start to finish. My colleague Daniel Harrison also joined me for the day and as always I roped him into being my photographer for the day but who can blame me; he gets some really great shots.
I thought that the decor around the ship would be in your face Disney but it’s not. The Disney decor is very subtle but amazing. Whilst walking around the ship I loved the atmosphere and thought she was an incredible ship.
There are 4 staterooms types onboard. Theses are Inside, Oceanview, Verandah and Concierge. The staterooms were all very spacious and had lots of natural light (apart from the insides of course). We even got to see a cabin that had been decorated for a guests birthday, it was great as usually there is normally just a banner on the door. You can see the decorations in the picture below.
Concierge
The most luxurious accommodations on board, each with a large private verandah and premium amenities and services:
Verandah
The most spacious non-Concierge staterooms, each with a private verandah, some with partial views:
Oceanview
Enjoy more space than Standard and scenic vistas through a real porthole window—or possibly 2!
Inside
The base accommodations, featuring a classic nautical motif, porthole mirror and no exterior view:
The Oceaneer Club is one of the largest kids clubs I have seen at sea. As soon as you walk in you see how big the space is, which I think is important as the area did not feel cramped. Andy’s room was my favourite part and I even got ot slide down the slide. (Check it out in the video below). Disney’s Oceaneer Club is the perfect place for your children to learn something new, to see Character-driven performances, enjoy special storytelling sessions, having fun in larger-than-life play areas, have amazing dress-up opportunities and much much more.
Casual Dining Options;
Duck-In Diner – This Diner is on deck 9 and has quick bites, such as hot dogs, hamburgers and shawarmas.
Pinocchio’s Pizzeria – Next to the pool on deck 9, Pinocchio’s Pizzeria opens for lunch and snacks. You can get the following pizza’s pepperoni, vegetarian, Hawaiian or plain cheese
Cabanas – Stroll along a beach boardwalk on deck 9 boasting fresh food favourites for lunch and dinner—or savour table-service dining nightly.
Main Dining/Rotational Dining Options;
Animator’s Palate – I have to say that Animator’s Palate is the most interesting restaurant I have ever seen onboard a cruise ship. During the day and when guests are arriving the walls are in black and white. During the meal. the walls slowly change colour. Children can even draw characters and they will be animated and shown on the screens.
Rapunzel’s Royal Table – Rapunzel’s Royal Table is open for dinner only and it is inspired by the movie Tangled. This restaurant serves a dinner fit for a princess, the atmosphere is straight out of a fairytale.
Lumiere’s – We were lucky enough to have lunch onboard in Lumiere’s. From the food to the service, everything was fantastic. I had salmon for my starter, steak for my main course and cheesecake for dessert. it was delicious. I have included the photos below.
