CMV’s Marco Polo not so Stable!!

On the 16th December, last year, myself and most of my colleagues embarked Cruise and Maritime’s Marco Polo for our Christmas Conference. Overall it was a great conference, as it was the year before. It is time for celebrating our achievements over the past year and also time to connect with our colleagues from across the UK and Europe. The sales consultants are predominantly homeworkers so the conference is a great opportunity to meet our colleagues in real life and share a laugh and a drink or two.

Food

Overall we ate well on board. The main dining room offered a good selection, I do think though that there would be a much larger selection on a longer sailing. I preferred the buffet restaurant over the main dining room but this is not uncommon for me as I like to mix and match. One night they had shawarma’s on offer which I absolutely loved, I definitely had more than one.

Cabin

I found the cabins quite spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. I definitely slept well. The only thing to bear in mind would be the step to get into the bathroom and the sloping floor, it feels like you can slide down into your cabin, especially after a drink or two. I would definitely recommend the Superior Cabins as they are more spacious than the standard cabins.

Dublin

Dublin was great, me and my colleagues Dani and Berni decided that we would do the hop on hop off bus. It was great because we had a little tour of the city and decided to get off by the church and I really liked the architecture around Dublin. We then headed to Temple Bar and had an exclusive party for Cruise.co.uk’s employees. It was a fantastic way to finish our Christmas Conference. After we left Dublin the Irish Sea was a bit choppy and even though most of us are seasoned cruisers, seas sickness definitely took some of us out. Overall though, it was another fantastic conference with the Cruise.co.uk staff.
