Came back new from Royal Princess!!

A few pictures from Royal Princess!!

On the 10th May, I arrived at the port in South Queensferry, Edinburgh and tendered onto Royal Princess. This was to be my first ever Cruise on any Princess Ship. I was not disappointed. Read on to hear all about my time on-board this lovely ship.

Stateroom

I shared a BE Balcony Cabin with my colleague Juliette. It was a really nice cabin, not lots of floor space but a great wardrobe area. If you like a little more space in your cabin I would recommend booking a Deluxe Balcony Cabin with an unobstructed view which is a DF Grade or above. The beds were amazing, Princess pride themselves on their Luxury Beds. We slept so well on board. Our stewardess was brilliant, always really happy and couldn’t do enough for us even though we kept on telling her to go and put her feet up. A great thing about the cabin was that you could get lots of new movies on the TV so whether you want a nice relaxing night in the cabin or you want to watch a movie whilst you get ready for a night out then there’s a movie for you to watch.

Dining

There are some amazing venues on board for your meals throughout the day. I had breakfast in the Allegro Dining Room, Horizon Court, and the International Cafe and they were all great. I would definitely recommend taking the time to go to the Allegro Dining Room, the food was delicious. Throughout the day there are many places to have snacks and a spot of lunch, you won’t be disappointed with the food at any of the venues. Now dinner is when your taste buds come alive. Two of the 3 nights we ate in the Symphony Dining Room and there was a great selection of food and it was all incredible. You can also get a shot of lemon cello or Baileys for about $3 and you get to keep the Princess commemorative shot glass, I now own a full set of course. One night, we were booked into the Crown Grill and the food was absolutely outstanding. I am not usually a Steak person but it was cooked to perfection and was amazing. I have included a collage below of the 4 courses that I chose, each course was just delicious. The cover charge is only $29 which is definitely worth it.

Bars

My favourite bar has got to be Bellini’s with the Piazza coming in second. Bellini’s is a great location in the evening as the staff are fantastic, the prosecco cocktails are tasty and the location is fantastic for the evening entertainment. We also really like the Piazza bar as the staff were also great there and the cocktail menu was extensive, and of course, we had to try a few. I definitely recommend purchasing a drinks package if you like a cocktail or two. Including the service charges, it works out at $69 per person per day, which means you only need to drink 5/6 cocktails a day. It also includes soft drinks and hot drinks for the International Cafe/Cafe shop.

Overall, I was really impressed with Princess Cruises which you can see in my video below. Fancy a Princess Cruise for yourself? Then click here to look at what Princess Cruises we have on offer!!
