Oceania Cruises Reveals Its Most Spacious Suites Ever for New Ship Sonata

• The Ship: Oceania Sonata debuts in August 2027 as the first of the new "Sonata Class" vessels, weighing in at 86,000 gross tons.

Oceania Cruises has officially unveiled the suite designs for its highly anticipated new ship, Oceania Sonata, the first vessel in the all-new Sonata Class.

Scheduled to debut in August 2027, the 1,390-guest ship promises to be a "triumph of spacious design". With 33% of all accommodations dedicated to suites, Oceania Sonata is set to offer the most generous ratio of premium space in the fleet's history.

The Crown Jewels: Two-Bedroom Owner's Suites

For the first time in the line's history, Oceania Cruises is introducing a two-bedroom configuration for its top-tier accommodation.

There will be just four Owner's Suites, commanding the prime aft corners of Decks 10 and 11. Sprawling over 2,500 square feet, these suites offer sweeping 180-degree views from massive wraparound verandas.

• The Layout: A master haven with a king-size bed and spa-inspired marble bathroom, plus a separate guest bedroom with a queen-size bed, private bath, and its own floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto the veranda.

• The Vibe: Complete privacy and residential-style luxury, perfect for hosting friends or extended family.

The "Horizon" Suite: A Brand-New Category

Recognising a gap in the market for "aspirational luxury", Oceania has created an entirely new category: the Horizon Suite.

Positioned between the Penthouse and Oceania Suite categories, the 50 Horizon Suites offer over 600 square feet of well-appointed space.

• The Design: These suites feature distinct living and bedroom areas, a walk-through wardrobe, and an oversized veranda furnished with luxurious lounging furniture.

• Who it's for: Travellers who want more space than a Penthouse but prefer a more intimate layout than the larger Oceania Suites.

Vista & Oceania Suites

The popular Vista and Oceania suites have also been reimagined for the Sonata Class.

• 8 Vista Suites: Located at the aft, these range from 1,500 to 1,900 square feet. They rival the finest shoreside hotels with plush furnishings, intricate marble accents, and an indulgent master bathroom featuring a rainforest shower and porcelain soaking tub.

• 16 Oceania Suites: Ranging from 1,000 to 1,400 square feet, these offer gracious living and dining spaces that flow seamlessly onto a private teak veranda - the perfect spot for a private breakfast at sea.

Penthouse Perfection

Completing the collection are 63 Penthouse Suites (426 sq. ft.) and 82 Penthouse Deluxe Suites (488 sq. ft.). Designed as peaceful retreats, they feature oversized living areas, panoramic views from floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and the line's signature Tranquility Beds.

The "Sonata" Difference

At 86,000 gross tons but carrying only 1,390 guests, Oceania Sonata will be exceptionally spacious. The guest-to-crew ratio is equally impressive, with 855 crew members on board to ensure flawless service.
