Royal Caribbean Unveils New Ship: Legend Of The Seas!

Royal Caribbean has revealed that Legend of the Seas will become the third ship to join its Icon Class, making its Caribbean debut in November 2026.

As the newest Royal Caribbean ship to offer an unmatched combination of experiences onboard, Legend of the Seas will sail year-round from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting in November 2026, offering 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries- including visits to the cruise line's award-winning Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas on every sailing.

Guests can also expect more adventures and next-level activities across picture-perfect spots in the Caribbean, from snorkelling in Oranjestad, Aruba, to lounging on the beaches of Falmouth, Jamaica, and exploring the cultural Willemstad, Curacao.

Before making her debut in the Caribbean, from August 2026 Legend of the Seas will offer Summer sailings in Europe, with 7-night Western Mediterranean cruise holidays departing from Barcelona. During this summer season, holidaymakers can Euro-hop to popular destinations including France, Italy, and Spain to revel in iconic landmarks, stunning landscapes, and sun-soaked beaches.

Currently under construction in Turku, Finland, Legend will bring more of the unparalleled experiences introduced by Icon of the Seas and doubled by Star of the Seas, the next in Royal Caribbean's lineup- set to debut in August 2025 in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida.

With 40 ways to dine and drink, adrenaline-pumping thrills, and unrivalled ways to chill, there will be something for every type of traveller and family across eight different neighbourhoods onboard the brand-new Legend of the Seas. Onboard standouts will include Icon Class highlights such as Crown's Edge, Category 6, Royal Bay, Swim & Tonic, plus the adults-only Hideaway; featuring a one-of-a-kind infinity pool suspended above the ocean.

Additionally, families of all ages can spend time together or have their own adventures at the Surfside neighbourhood. Designed with young families in mind, this neighbourhood will provide a line-up of fun activities and ways to stay, including the three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse with reimagined spaces for the whole family.

Not only this, but Legend of the Seas will also become Royal Caribbean's fourth ship to be powered by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and feature a proven lineup of industry-leading environmental programmes. With applications ranging from waste heat recovery systems to shore power connections, Legend will advance Royal Caribbean Group’s journey towards introducing a net-zero cruise ship by 2035.
