Norwegian Aqua Sets Sail On Maiden Voyage

All-new Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Aqua has set sail on her very first cruise!

The ship departed for her maiden voyage from Lisbon to Southampton, hosting 2,000 invited guests who experienced everything the Prima Plus Class ship has to offer. Norwegian Aqua is set to depart on five more cruises before arriving in sunny Miami for her christening in April.

“This is a milestone moment for Norwegian Cruise Line as we set sail aboard Norwegian Aqua, a ship designed to offer our guests MORE – more wide-open space, more thrills, more culinary experiences, and more immersive entertainment. During this inaugural season, we look forward to welcoming our travel partners from around the world and to give them the exclusivity of being the first to experience our newest product and to fully understand how guests can ‘Experience More at Sea’ with us," said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Norwegian Aqua is home to a variety of industry and Norwegian Cruise Line first features, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world's first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, the cutting-edge Glow Court and the reimagined Galaxy Pavilion.

Elsewhere onboard, guests can enjoy epic entertainment, such as stage shows Revolution: A Celebration of Prince and Elements: The World Expanded, 17 new and returning guest favourite restaurants, plus 18 bars and lounges.
