MSC Poesia Unveils Stunning New Look Ahead of Inaugural Alaska Season

• A Total Transformation: MSC Poesia has emerged from dry dock with significant upgrades, including the introduction of the MSC Yacht Club.

MSC Poesia has officially emerged from a comprehensive dry dock refurbishment at the Palumbo Malta Shipyard, looking sharper than ever as she begins her journey across the Atlantic.

This isn't just a simple refresh; the ship has undergone a massive transformation to prepare for one of the most anticipated milestones in the line's history: its first-ever season in Alaska.

As the second of four Musica Class ships to be modernised, MSC Poesia represents a significant investment in the fleet.

These upgrades ensure the ship offers the high-end experiences and modernised facilities that travellers expect, perfectly timed for her debut in the Pacific Northwest in 2026.

The Introduction of the MSC Yacht Club

The most notable addition to MSC Poesia is the introduction of the MSC Yacht Club, the brand’s "ship-within-a-ship" concept.

This area is designed for guests seeking an elevated level of privacy and service, offering a secluded sanctuary while still providing access to the ship’s full range of entertainment.

Onboard MSC Poesia, the MSC Yacht Club features:

• 69 Suites: Each suite is elegantly appointed for a premium stay.

• Butler Service: Guests have access to 24-hour butler and concierge service.

• Private Oasis: Access to a private restaurant, lounge, and a dedicated sundeck featuring whirlpools and its own grill and bar.

Following these enhancements, all four vessels in the Musica class will eventually feature the MSC Yacht Club, with MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra set to follow MSC Poesia and MSC Magnifica.

New Speciality Dining and Wellness

The refurbishment has introduced new flavours to the ship’s culinary scene with two popular speciality venues:

• Butcher’s Cut: An authentic American-style steakhouse.

• Kaito Sushi Bar: Inspired by the Far East, where guests can savour expertly crafted sushi and authentic Asian dishes.

The ship’s wellness and fitness spaces have also been revitalised. The MSC Aurea Spa now features a newly designed interior and a Gentleman’s Barber.

Fitness enthusiasts can use the MSC Gym Powered by Technogym®, which has been updated with new workout studios. Guests also have access to the Top 15 Exclusive Solarium, a spacious outdoor area for Aurea guests.

Alaska Season

Following her Atlantic crossing, MSC Poesia will sail through the Panama Canal before arriving in Seattle for her inaugural Alaska season. From May through September 2026, the ship will operate 7-night itineraries to some of the most breathtaking destinations in the world.

Ketchikan

Often called the "salmon capital of the world," Ketchikan is a premier destination for exploring indigenous heritage. Guests can discover a vast collection of totem poles and explore the historic waterfront buildings that line the town’s scenic boardwalks.

Juneau

Alaska’s remote capital, Juneau, is famously inaccessible by road, making it a spectacular stop on a cruise itinerary. It is the gateway to the massive Mendenhall Glacier and offers incredible opportunities for whale watching and exploring gold rush history.

Endicott Arm

Following her Alaska season, the ship will reposition to offer roundtrip Caribbean cruises from Miami during Winter 2026–2027, before returning to Alaska for the summer of 2027. These voyages will visit a diverse range of tropical destinations across the Caribbean and Central America.

Jamaica

The ship will visit the vibrant shores of Jamaica, known for its lush tropical landscapes and clear waters. Guests can experience the island's unique culture or take part in marine adventures in one of the Caribbean’s most iconic ports.

Colombia

MSC Poesia calls at Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its beautifully preserved colonial architecture. Visitors can stroll through the historic old town, explore massive fortresses, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the city's plazas.

Costa Rica

The port of Puerto Limon provides access to Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity and rainforests. Shore excursions often focus on eco-wonders, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife amid the lush greenery and jungle canopies.
