Cunard Partners With Oliver Award-Winning Producer for RSC's The Constant Wife

Cunard is setting the stage once again for unforgettable entertainment at sea, proudly partnering with award-winning producer David Pugh and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) for a dazzling new production of The Constant Wife- starring none other than Strictly Come Dancing winner Kara Tointon.

After charming audiences across the UK, this witty, 1920s-set comedy will make its grand debut at sea during a Transatlantic Crossing on Queen Mary 2 on 29th May 2026.

A Sparkling New Comedy from the RSC

Written by Olivier Award-winner Laura Wade (Home, I’m Darling) and inspired by W. Somerset Maugham’s classic comedy, The Constant Wife promises a sharp, stylish, and thoroughly modern take on marriage and independence.

The story follows Constance, the picture-perfect wife and mother, whose husband is not quite as faithful as he seems. With wit, charm, and just the right amount of sass, this 1920s comedy of manners explores love, loyalty, and liberation, all brought to life by a stellar cast and original music from jazz sensation Jamie Cullum.

Following its UK tour, opening at Blackpool Grand Theatre on 16th January 2026, the production will travel nationwide for four months before its ocean debut onboard  Cunard’s flagship liner.
