So, what is it really like to sail on this sensational ship? Read on to hear from Specialist Cruise Consultant, Tamir Noam, about their time onboard Scenic Eclipse on a cruise from St Tropez to Monaco.

Day 1

Today, we arrived at Nice Airport and then met with Kerry and Vicky, our lovely hosts from Scenic. After a quick coffee at the airport, we were guided to our transfer and had around a two-hour journey from Nice Airport to St Tropez.

Once we arrived, there she was, the small but impressive Scenic Eclipse! This luxury yacht-style ship has a capacity of only 224 passengers with a crew of around 184, giving the ship a crew-to-guest ratio of almost one-to-one.

After a short tender with some of the other passengers, we arrived at the ship and headed straight to our luxurious verandah suites. Next, we had a delicious lunch at the Yacht Club buffet restaurant, followed by a short tour of the ship from the lovely cruise director, Beth, who took us to see the helicopter onboard, as well as all the other lounges and areas of interest.

Later on, we had a private wine tasting session onboard, followed by yet another wine tasting tour in the evening ashore! This was located just outside St Tropez at a small vineyard, only around a 10-minute drive away. This was a fantastic experience and is also included in the cruise fare for all passengers!

After taking a tender back to our ship at around 9:30 pm, we then stepped back onboard, still full from all the nibbles we consumed at the winery. Later that evening, we met at the main lounge for some drinks and a small buffet to round off the day.

Day 2

This morning, we had an early start after a beautiful breakfast at the Yacht Club. We then went out by tender to the port of Villefranche on a tour of Nice. The weather was not the best as we had rain on and off all day, but we still had a wander around Nice and saw most of the main sights.

Once back onboard Scenic Eclipse, we then had a bit of relaxed free time in the afternoon. That evening, we met again in the Yacht Club for a fantastic seven-course meal at Lumiere, the French restaurant onboard. The food and overall experience here were amazing!

Day 3

Today, we were scheduled to dock at Calvi in Corsica, however, due to bad weather, the ship sailed to Bastia in Corsica instead, just on the other side of the island. Once on land, we had the option of riding e-bikes or a leisurely walk around Bastia; I went for the latter. Corsica is only a small island, but very nice and scenic, so we had a coffee and a little wander before heading back onboard.

We had plenty of free time this afternoon, which I used to try the Spa and hot tub to have a relaxing afternoon before this evening, where we chose to eat dinner at Koko's. There was no need to book spaces here, so we just turned up and had an amazing meal, consisting mainly of fantastic Asian dishes.

After another couple of drinks at the Observation Lounge, we retired back to our cabins for an overnight sailing to Monaco.

Day 4

After breakfast at the Yacht Club this morning, we disembarked Scenic Eclipse and caught our transfer back to Nice airport for our flight back home.

Overall, we had a great experience on our Scenic Eclipse cruise. A highlight of the trip was also visiting the bridge of the ship, which is always open for anyone who wants to come and visit. Another great perk of sailing on Scenic Eclipse is that all meals, drinks, WiFi, tips and tours are included!
