MSC Magnifica Unveils Major Refit Ahead of Mediterranean & World Cruise Sailings

• Major ship upgrade: MSC Magnifica has completed one of MSC Cruises’ largest refurbishments, introducing new dining, wellness and luxury spaces.

MSC Cruises has officially welcomed MSC Magnifica back into service following a comprehensive refurbishment, marking a major upgrade for the ship ahead of her Mediterranean sailings and upcoming MSC World Cruises.

After spending two months in dry dock at the Palumbo Malta Shipyard, MSC Magnifica now boasts a collection of modern enhancements designed to elevate dining, wellness and premium cruising experiences across the ship.

A Transformed Onboard Experience with New Restaurants & Wellness Facilities

Guests sailing on MSC Magnifica this winter will be among the first to experience an array of brand-new venues and redesigned public spaces, bringing the ship firmly in line with MSC Cruises’ newest fleet additions.

New Speciality Dining on MSC Magnifica

Two highly regarded MSC Cruises restaurants have been added, offering more choice and elevated dining experiences at sea:

• Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse: A firm favourite across the MSC fleet, serving premium cuts of meat in a refined, contemporary setting

• Kaito Sushi Bar: A stylish Asian-inspired restaurant showcasing freshly prepared sushi and vibrant flavours in an elegant atmosphere

These additions further enhance MSC Magnifica’s dining offering, appealing to guests seeking high-quality, restaurant-style experiences while cruising.

Upgraded MSC Aurea Spa & Technogym® Fitness Centre

Wellness has been a major focus of the refurbishment, with a fully redesigned MSC Aurea Spa and Technogym® Fitness Centre now open to guests.

The upgraded spa features panoramic sauna facilities, steam and salt rooms, and a full treatment menu designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. Meanwhile, the new Technogym® Fitness Centre offers:

MSC Yacht Club Coming to MSC Magnifica in Summer 2026

One of the most significant enhancements is the upcoming introduction of the MSC Yacht Club, set to debut on MSC Magnifica in summer 2026 when she sails Northern Europe itineraries from Warnemünde, Germany.

The MSC Yacht Club will introduce a luxury “ship-within-a-ship” concept, featuring:

New MSC Yacht Club Suites & Private Spaces

• 63 elegant suites across five categories, including the expansive Royal Suite with a private whirlpool and a large terrace

• A private sundeck with pool, whirlpool, cabanas and exclusive Grill & Bar

• The Top Sail Lounge, offering panoramic ocean views in a serene, light-filled setting

• An exclusive MSC Yacht Club Restaurant with dedicated culinary and sommelier teams

Guests staying in the MSC Yacht Club will also enjoy 24-hour butler service and concierge support, delivering a more personalised cruise experience.

Mediterranean Sailings, World Cruises & Northern Europe Itineraries

MSC Magnifica is currently sailing the Mediterranean before embarking on a 132-day MSC World Cruise in January 2026. Following this, the ship will offer Northern Europe cruises from May 2026, visiting Baltic capitals and Norwegian fjords, before returning to the Mediterranean later in the year.

Looking further ahead, MSC Magnifica will also host:

• The 2027 MSC World Cruise: a 121-night voyage across 45 destinations in 25 countries, marking the first time the MSC Yacht Club is available on a World Cruise.

• The 2028 MSC World Cruise: a 115-night global journey featuring new destinations and a Panama Canal transit.

Sister Ship MSC Poesia to Receive Similar Upgrades

MSC Cruises has confirmed that MSC Poesia will undergo a similar refurbishment at the same Malta shipyard in February 2026. 

Enhancements will include an MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites, new speciality dining venues, an All-Stars Sports Bar, and upgraded spa and fitness facilities, ahead of her Alaska debut in May 2026.
