All-New “Welcome Aboard” Show to Kick Off Your Cruise

One of the standout additions is a brand-new "Welcome Aboard" show, now premiering on select ships, including Eurodam.

This high-energy performance takes place on the first evening of the cruise. The show gives guests a preview of the entertainment in store, from glittering productions and live music acts to themed parties and enrichment activities. Expect this exciting introduction to be available fleetwide by summer 2026.

More Live Music in More Places

Responding to guest demand, Holland America Line is introducing more live music across more venues.

The cruise line is bringing back classical charm with Vivace, a new string duo or trio featured on all itineraries. Plus, the newly formed Dam Band will back-up production shows and guest performers on the World Stage.

Passengers can now also enjoy nightly entertainment with expanded show schedules, surprise cabaret pop-ups, and new music sessions in iconic spots, such as the Crow’s Nest, Lido Pool, and Ocean Bar.

Regional Soloists Add a Cultural Touch to Every Itinerary

Bringing a taste of local culture onboard, Holland America Line is launching a regional soloist program featuring steel pan performances in the Caribbean, mariachi musicians in Mexico, folk guitarists in Alaska, and Breton thunder shows in Canada and New England.

Holland America Line is revamping its entertainment leadership team. By August 2025, over half the fleet will feature a dynamic Cruise Director, supported by an Assistant Cruise Director and a larger Activities Crew.

These teams will host a lively array of onboard programming, from game shows and cooking demonstrations to themed parties and art classes, designed to keep energy levels high throughout the voyage.

Later this year, Travel Guides will return to offer destination insights through talks, Q&As, and personalised tips for each port of call; perfect for guests who love to dive deeper into the local culture.
