Cruise fans, get ready to be thrilled. Celebrity Cruises has revealed its newest Edge Series ship, Celebrity Xcite, and at the same time, celebrated the delivery of its latest masterpiece, Celebrity Xcel. 

Introducing Celebrity Xcite

Construction has officially started on Celebrity Xcite at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. She is set to sail in 2028 and promises to continue the Edge Series tradition of bold design and unforgettable experiences.

From striking architecture to immersive spaces, Celebrity Xcite is being created to bring guests closer to the destinations they visit. Each journey will be filled with new ways to relax, explore, and enjoy the ultimate at-sea experience. Celebrity Cruises partner and Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty says that each Edge Series ship has “reimagined what is possible at sea and deepened the connection to the destinations being visited.” Celebrity Xcite is set to take this to the next level.

Celebrate Celebrity Xcel

While we look forward to the future, the present is just as exciting. Celebrity Xcel has officially joined the Celebrity Cruises fleet and is preparing to welcome her first guests in November. The ship’s delivery was celebrated with a traditional signing ceremony, flag-changing ritual, and a toast in her stunning three-storey Grand Plaza.

Designed with input from guests through the “Xcel Dream Makers” programme, Celebrity Xcel combines modern and contemporary with thoughtful details that make every moment on board special. With more than 1,600 crew members ready to welcome passengers, she is poised to deliver unforgettable holidays from the very first voyage.

Incredible Voyages Await

Celebrity Xcel will begin her inaugural season sailing from Fort Lauderdale on seven-night itineraries that alternate between The Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In summer 2026, she will take to Europe for her first Mediterranean season, offering seven- to eleven-night itineraries from Barcelona and Athens, including exciting overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
