All eyes at sea are firmly fixed on the upcoming debut of Norwegian Cruise Line’s all-new Prima Plus Class ship, Norwegian Aqua. 

The ship is set to be big, bold and be home to a number of firsts for the family-friendly cruise line. Currently being built in Fincantieri in Italy, Norwegian Aqua is set to set sail for the first time in April 2025 - just in time for a summer of exquisite cruising across sparkling seas!

The World’s First Hybrid Coaster At Sea

Searching for an exhilarating thrill of a lifetime? Look no further than the Aqua Slidecoaster! 

This ultimate, three-storey hybrid waterslide and rollercoaster, a world first!, will twist, turn and launch fearless guests through two dual courses. Certainly not for the faint-hearted, this exciting new coaster perfectly complements The Drop, a 10-storey free-fall slide, another gripping activity that will also be housed on Norwegian Aqua. 

Divine Dining Options

Fresh, exquisite new food and drink venues are set to delight and keep hungry foodies full on Norwegian Aqua. The ship will be the first in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet to feature a swanky Thai eatery, named Sukhothai, health conscious, plant-based venue Planterie in the Indulge Food Hall, and dedicated fine drinks venue Swirl Wine Bar. 

Alongside these delicious options, Norwegian Cruise Line fans can also dive into a number of established fan-favourite eateries including Hudson’s, Le Bistro and Los Lobos for a variety of specially crafted and beautifully plated eats. 

Heavenly Haven Accommodations

For those looking to enjoy some of the most opulent residences at sea, Norwegian Aqua will be home to some of the cruise line’s most spacious Haven suites.

Onboard, guests can enjoy the sumptuous surroundings of three-bedroom duplex Haven suites, a first for Norwegian Cruise Line. These two-storey accommodations have it all, from deluxe king-sized beds to incredible floor-to-ceiling windows - perfect for sea and star gazing! 

The Haven itself on Norwegian Aqua, a keycard-accessible only ‘ship within a ship’ space, is set to be the largest in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, featuring a massive sundeck, glittering infinity pool, outdoor spa, hot tubs, butler service and even a private lounge offering super rare vintages and spirits. 

Studios Just For Solos

The growing solo cruiser community will adore Norwegian Aqua’s abundant range of just-for-singles accommodations. Priced less than the typical cost of a double occupancy fare, guests can choose between solo inside, solo oceanview and solo balcony staterooms, all equipped with lots of ample storage space, a cosy bed and a private bathroom. 

Those staying in these accommodations can also access a private Studio Lounge, exclusively for single cruisers. 

Expansive Deck Spaces

Expect to enjoy peaceful days at sea onboard Norwegian Aqua, thanks to a variety of new and expanded outdoor spaces that all the family can enjoy. The new ship will have its own infinity edge pool with expanded seating, day beds on the main pool deck and a large Vibe Beach Club, a private area that costs just a little extra. 

Additionally, Norwegian Aqua will have an extensive Ocean Boulevard, a large outdoor walkway that wraps around the entire, a glass bridge Oceanwalk, an Infinity Beach area with pools overlooking the side of the ship, plus La Terrazza, a glamorous open-air lounge. 

For smaller cruisers, Norwegian Cruise Line’s fan-favourite kids club Splash Academy, for children aged three to 12, will be returning onboard the new ship, alongside Entourage, a dedicated teens club for those aged 13 to 17.

Epic Entertainment

All-new production shows are at the epicentre of Norwegian Aqua’s lofty entertainment roster. Two fresh performances, “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” and “Elements: The World Expanded” will debut on the ship, alongside some firm guest favourites, including Improv At Sea, The Price is Right LIVE and Syd Norman’s Presents: Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac tribute experience. 

Revolution: A Celebration of Prince is dedicated to the pop icon Prince, celebrating his musical legacy. Norwegian Cruise Line is dubbing the show as a “fully immersive experience” featuring performances both on and off stage. 

Elements: The World Expanded, a reimagined version of the wildly popular Elements show that is currently staged on Norwegian Spirit, is set to dazzle guests with magic, aerial acrobatics, music and dance, all themed on the four elements of earth, wind, water and fire. 

Both new shows will be staged in the Aqua Theatre & Club, a mega three-storey venue with two bars and lots of plush seating. After productions have concluded, the space transforms into a Vegas-style nightclub with its own dance floor and modern lighting. 

Sun-Kissed Itineraries 

Norwegian Aqua will be spending her first summer in the sunny Caribbean, departing on a range of splendid seven-day cruises from Florida’s busiest cruise port, Port Canaveral. After a brief stint in New York, departing on five to seven-day voyages to Bermuda and back, Norwegian Aqua will return to the Sunshine State and venture on an array of Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami until 2026.
