What’s your Favourite Restaurant at Sea?

Anyone who knows me knows that Cruising is my favorite way to holiday, and having nearly 60 under my belt now I think that  says it all. One of my favorite things about cruising is the food and trying different restaurants onboard. I know all the food is included and some people may think its a waste paying for speciality restaurant, but its always nice to have a treat. Not being a massive red meat eater I do like to try a steak while Im away as its not something I eat a lot of at home.

I have eaten in Chops Grill on a few of the Royal Caribbean ships and I have to say the filet mignon (which I always go for) has always been amazing. They serve a “Petite Filet Mignon 6oz  and also 9oz but I have always gone for the smaller option so that I can enjoy the sides that you can order. Its great to be able to order a few of these to share and this is what they have to offer:

Gruyere Cheese Tater Tots – Creamed Spinach – Grilled Jumbo Asparagus – French Fries – Truffled Corn – Roasted Mushrooms – mashed Potatoes – Salt baked Potato – Sauteed Spinach.

Wonderland on Royal Caribbeans Harmony of the Seas has to be one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. As the title says it it like being in Alice in Wonderland with waiters dressed up and even the Mad Hatter coming around the tables. This was no ordinary Menu and features different flavours, textures colours and portion sizes. Here is my husband wearing one of the waiters jackets!

Butchers Cut on MSC Meraviglia also gave Chops Grill a run for its money and the Filet Mignon was equally as good. In fact we enjoyed it that much we did go again and I enjoyed a Surf and Turf the second time. With a cover charge of 39 Euros it was definately worth it.

Another favorite of mine is Quisine on Celebrity Eclipse. You are taken on a Culinary Journey starting with ordering your food on an IPad. Again you can order food to share and with 4 or 5 courses thare is a lot to chose from between you. We made the mistake of ordering the meatballs which came out after already having  3 courses and were the size of apples not your usual small ones. I hasten to say they didnt all get eaten as we had to leave room for desert.
