Magnificent Magnifica Back in Southampton in 2021

It was announced today that MSC Magnifica will spend a season sailing from Southampton in 2021. Msc Preziosa has spent this spring and summer sailing from Southampton and has been a huge success so Im sure Magnifica will do the same.

The ship is going to be lengthened by 24 metres which will enable an additional 215 cabins to be added to the ship, 92 of which will be balconies. A Waterpark will also be added along with a promenade shopping area and 2 new Restaurants. The ships capacity will increase to around 4000 passengers once the additional cabins have been added. The ship will offer 24 itineraries from Southampton and will vary from 2 night Mini Cruise which departs on 14 May 2021 to 14 Nights which will included sailings to the Canaries, Mediterranean, Baltic and Northern Europe.

The ship wil be popular with families as it has a high ratio of multiple berth cabins which are ideal for families especially with their very low child prices, in comparison to some other cruiselines. To launch these going on sale there will also be onboard credit offered at £25.00pp for inside and oceanview cabins and £50.00pp for balconies and suites.

Along with Magnifica another 4 MSC ships will call into the UK in 2021 but which of these it will be we will have to wait as see as this is still under wrap at the moment

I was lucky to have been onboard Magnifica on a launch in February 2010 and loved her then so I cant wait to see what she will be like after her makeover. Might have to book myself a cheeky weekend away on her just to find out!
