Concerts and Cruises!

Over the next week its going to be a busy time for me. This weekend I will be travelling to York to see Rod Stewart at York Races and looking forward to catching up with a couple of my colleague’s there  too. Its funny the things you arrange to do on an alcohol fuelled weekend in Kent last September! Joking aside I am a massive fan of Rod and looking forward to the day, as long as the rain stays away, as the last time I seen him it bucketed down!

On Tuesday next week I will be travelling to St Malo in France to join the Azamara Quest for 3 nights with 3 of my colleagues and will be sailing  from St Malo to Rouen. This will be my first  time onboard an Azamara ship and Im really excited to see what she has to offer.  I have only sailed on a few small ships with Fred Olsen and Cruise and Maritime and usually sail on the Mega Ships, with 3000-5000+ passengers, so it will be great to see how this compares to the other smaller ships.

Azamara Cruises are more like a Boutique Hotel at Sea and being a smaller ship can get into ports that other ships cant. They also pride themselves on the fact that they have a lot of overnight stays in ports so you can fully enjoy a port by day and night. We will be joining the ship mid cruise and this is actually a 14 night ” Tall Sails and Remembrance Cruise” which started on 28th May. We will be  sailing from St Malo to Cherbourg, Honfluer and into Rouen where we will disembark on the 7th June. Joining the Ship on Tuesday should be interesting  as its a tender port so should be fun with a suitcase!  My colleague and I have an Obstructed Ocean View Cabin on Deck 6 which I will be able to tell you all about on our return.

Ill be back next time to tell you all about our time onboard, the food, entertainment and everyting the ship has to offer.
