Carnival – Terrible Table or Feast fit for a King?

Carnival cruises is set to trial a whole new dining experience to bring the concept more up to date. It aims to roll out this new approach on Carnival Glory in December, Carnival Liberty in January and Carnival Imagination and inspiration in February. Menus will rotate daily and will incorporate dishes inspired by the ports of call they are in for example Spicy Grilled chicken and Mango salad in St Thomas.  The American Table will be rolled out on casual nights in the main dining room and will offer a modern contemporary take on dining including an option to have it served family style. On formal nights the menu will change to the American Feast. This menu will included such delights as mojito cured salmon and broiled lobster.  Carnival are assuring guests that traditional favourites like flat iron steak will still be on the menu but they want to try and improve the overall dining experience.

However the burning question is will the new dining experience change people’s opinions about the fast food type nature and standard  of food on Carnival and will it alleviate the queues people experience on-board. A recently returning customer told me they had to queue for up to an hour to get their evening meal. We wait with baited breath Carnival?
