World’s largest ship floats out……

The World’s largest cruise ship floats out of dry dock for the first time.  The Symphony of the Seas which has a capacity of carrying 5,497 passengers is the 4th Oasis class ship.  The ship floated out of dry dock from the STX shipyard in France, she will now undergo her interior construction.

The Symphony of the Seas will have 28 more cabins than her sister ship the Harmony of the Seas.  She will feature many of the innovative attractions the Harmony of the Seas have, such as the Bionic Bar, Aqua Theatre, Central Park and Boardwalk.  She will also have the trio of waterslides and the Ultimate Abyss.

I really do think these ships are amazing, there is no doubt about that but for me I do feel that they are too large especially when the ship docks in port, the congestion of getting on and off would be my major concern.  I would love to hear opinions of people that have been lucky enough to cruise on these fantastic ships.

What I do think is exciting is that the Symphony of the Seas will spend her inaugural summer season in the Mediterranean before she repositions to Miami early November 2018.  Her first sailing departs Barcelona for a 7 night Western Mediterranean on 21st April 2018, if you are interested in joining her on this voyage there are still cabins available.
