MSC brings some exciting news…..

MSC cruises is the world’s largest privately owned cruise line in Europe and South America.  With a ten-year investment plan six of a total of 11 new ships will come into service between June 2017 and November 2020, resulting in a doubling of the MSC Cruises fleet capacity in just three and a half years.

So I thought I would give you a update of what is happening with some of their ships, new and old

MSC Seaside will be officially named in Miami on 21st December.  She is a brand mew prototype, designed specifically for sun lovers and to bring MSC Cruise guests closer to the ocean than ever before.  She boasts generous outdoor public spaces so that guests can make the most of the sunshine but the design also brings guests closer to the navigational moments, which are the highlights of a cruise holiday.  The ship is unlike anything else at sea.

With Japan being increasing popular with UK passengers MSC are now able to call Japan one of its homes.  You can choose to sail on the MSC Splendida in May 2018 for a 4 day cruise to a 30 day cruise in November 2018.

Island hopping through Greece – MSC Lirica is coming back to the Mediterranean in summner 2018.  Her home port is the romantic Venice, where she will offer 7-night Eastern Mediterranean from April to October 2018.  Sailing from Venice she will call at some most charming Greek Islands: Mykonos, Heraklion in Crete, Corfu  and then onto my favourite port of call Dubrovnik before heading back to Venice.

Finally MSC Preziosa will be based in the UK from 2019 home portng in Southampton for the summer.. Keep a look out for more details on the itineraries.

Exciting times ahead for MSC….
