The Turner’s love cruising!!!

If you read my last blog, you will know myself and my family have just returned from our first cruise holiday with Celebrity Eclipse, and I’m very pleased to say we LOVED IT!!

Everything from the beautiful classy ship, to luxurious food, great entertainment day & night, amazing service from the attentive staff, humongous cabin and  fantastic adventurous kids club was a BIG hit for my husband and 3 daughters.

Over the next couple of weeks I will cover the different aspect of our holiday, I don’t want to give it all away so for now here are just a snippets of what we loved about our fantastic holiday.

Our Family stateroom with Veranda #8107.

WOW WOW WOW our room was huge!!!! One of the things that has always put me of cruising as a family is that as a family with 3 daughters and never wanting them in separate cabins, finding one big enough was an issue. So when I found out Celebrity have cabins which hold 6 guest it solved my problem, with 2 bedrooms and sofa bed in the large living area, lots of storage, 2 large windows and a huge balcony it offered us so much space so that we were not all crammed in.

Here’s a tour of our fabulous cabin.

Variety of Entertainment.

Entertainment on Board the Eclipse was probably the best I have experienced whilst cruising. We loved how the whole day and night was jam packed with things to do and we looked forward to receiving our little daily guide each evening to plan the following day. We enjoyed daily quizzes, golf putting challenges, silent discos, pizza and cupcake making with the kids, pool side games, Bingo and so much more. The entertainment crew lead by Eddy Jenkins were fantastic and worked so hard to make sure each day we had a good choice of activites. We also found the Eclipse theatre every evening had something different to offer comedians , magicians, dancing, singing, acrobatics their talents were endless.

Here are video from my 2 favourite shows of the week “Rock City” & “Euphoria”

Crew to remember

The Eclipse is a beautiful and packed ship with fantastic bars, restaurants and service. We were very impressed with the very attentive and professional crew who worked very hard 24/7 to make sure all guests have a wonderful cruise. We were astounded at the amount of hours they worked regularly seeing the same faces 9am serving drinks around the pool, 1pm in the ocean view café then again at midnight working the bar.

Special praise goes out to the staff in the Moonlight Sonata restaurant who handled my husbands nut allergy very well, in particular Yogesh, Grenville and Randy upon finding out about this allergy they made sure after every meal they brought out the following days menu for him to choose the next nights meal. This allowed them to prepare his dinner in advance in a different “nut free” area of the kitchen. In 19 years of travel we have never experienced such care, and it allowed us to relax and enjoy evening our meal without worry.

I think its safe to say that Celebrity eclipse has just take top spot for my favourite cruise line and ship, Join me next time for the inside scoop about the Celebrity’s Kid club programme and why my daughters loved it so much!!!!!!

Until next time
