Can Princess Cruise lines get any better?

Can Princess Cruise lines get any better? Well apparently there is always room for improvement, and this week the Star Princess has emerged from her multi million pound spruce up.

Most recently the Star Princess has been sailing the Hawaiian Islands has just spent 2 weeks in dry dock needing some much welcomed attention and making a number of updats all ready for her new home in Alaska coming this May.

One of the main upgrades has been to the youth area:-

The onboard kids’ club has been redesigned in partnership with the Discovery Channel and renamed ‘Camp Discovery’. There are now three new youth centres that each have their own theme:

·        The Treehouse (formerly Pelicans, ages 3-7): forest and animals
·        The Lodge (formerly Shockwaves, ages 8-12): inspired by the outdoors
·        The Beach House (formerly Remix, ages 13-17): surf-themed lounge

As well as the kids area the shopping options have been upgraded with a new cosmetic and perfume shop, new designer retail shops and lastly fine jewellery.

All 1,300 staterooms have been fitted with new carpets and upholstery as well as boasting the signature Princess beds and linens and the Princess livery is now on the ship’s hull to match the rest of the fleet.

Sabatini Italian alcarte menu has been updated also with various items in the salon and treatment rooms receiving some special attention.

How they have managed all this in just 2 weeks is beyond me but all these extra touches are what make Princess the fantastic cruise line that we all love.

in a recent statement Princess Cruise line president, Jan Swartz, has stated: “Star Princess now offers many of the signature product innovations our guests have come to love, including the Princess luxury bed, Camp Discovery and a revamped Sabatini’s.

These enhancements continue our £330 million multi-year ship renovation campaign, ‘Come Back New Promise’, enhancing our onboard guest experience.”

So what do you think of these enhancements that Princess have been making?

Is the star princess your favourite ship?

Let me know what you think.
