When is a review good or bad ?

How we all loved trip adviser when it came out, no more guessing about whether hotels were in a good or bad area, pop on and have a look at real reviews from real people, much like our website for cruises, but oh dear what a Pandora’s box it really is. My first encounter of a bad review was for the Bellagio in Las Vegas, I have stayed at this hotel , in a standard room and was really impressed, the service was first class and the Hotel is in a great position, so it was with some amusement I read a review when someone moaned it was too big?? surely you would look at the size of the hotel before booking to decide if this was right for you or not? obviously not.

So it is so difficult when our team has to put together our tailor made itineraries, we are trying to establish a group of hotels where we have actually stayed and experienced the rooms/service, and looked at the areas, so if we say it is one of our recommended hotels, its for this reason, it will have been a member of the team , or sometimes a sales consultant who has stayed there with very honest reviews.

Just as we all review our own holidays, very often on this blog, we ask our customers to review the trips when they return , all of this is such useful information for using the hotels/transfers or tours again.

An a final question to everyone , when have you last had a great time at any hotel and written a review?? I am so guilty of not doing this, then we wonder why only the bad ones appear??

The morale of this story is if you have had a great cruise or hotel stay, especially on our tailor made itineraries, please let us know, it will help us improve and make more happy memories.
