Paris to Normandy , off this weekend

We get very lucky here @ cruise.co.uk , every now and then we get to try the products we are selling to you all. Last year I was lucky to get lots of trips , and if you look back on my blogs for 2016 there are lots of reviews and pictures to share with you.

Well this Saturday I am off on my first FULL river cruise, I did a Christmas market one a few years ago for 3 nights, and went by coach , it took about 12 hours to get there!! This time I am flying into Paris and sailing across to Normandy, for a whole week!

The cruise line is Avalon, I will be updating my blog on my return with lots of pictures and a run down of my experiences. I am hoping the weather is kind to us, not too much rain please!

River cruising is so totally different to Ocean cruising, and after the winter one I really wanted to try this in the summer, well if we can call this summer.

Getting up @ 2am on Saturday is not much fun though as I have to catch a coach to Heathrow, me thinks a snooze on the plane will be happening.

This is my first trip this year (ever hopeful there will be more) but also my first real visit to France, I have done Paris for a few nights with family, but not the rest of France, everyone is telling me its a really beautiful trip. I am looking forward to Normandy , the history for us from the war being quite fascinating, I will fill you in on the other stops on my return , we have been warned to take comfy walking shoes, this will be good as it will help walk off all the lovely food/wine we will be partaking in.
