Cape Town Calling !

CAPETOWNMONTAGE - Copy (002)

As some people know I spent over twenty years in the Mother City, this is the view when you fly in over the ocean, which I will be doing this weekend ! On one of my favourite airlines (Emirates) from Birmingham, bit of a long trek with the change over, but so going to be worth it !!

There used to be lots of choices flying direct, this would have been my first choice as only going for 8 nights, but the only airline that goes direct now is BA to Cape Town ?? strange that not even the national carrier SAA has the route any more, so for economic reason and the fact I can fly from my local airport, Emirates it is.

I will be staying in Blouberg, at The Ocean Blue Guest house, this is run by a very lovely man and friend of mine (I hope he still will be after the 8 nights……..) its very close to Blouberg Beach with many bars, restaurants nearby , and withing walking distance, that’s if I can drag myself away from the pool long enough !!

Most definitely will be taking lots of pictures, my son (who was born there) has actually never been on the cable car which takes you to the top of Table Mountain , one of the must do’s . So this trip is a combination of a few tourist trips, and generally relaxing, no intention of cooking anything for the whole 8 nights, really looking forward to catching up with old friends and having a good natter. It has been 10 years since we went back for any length of time, so this will be interesting for me to see how the change has affected this wonderful City.

I will post on my Facebook page while away , any questions or information , fire away, I will be happy to help

Back in December !
