A day in Malaga

Get a taxi up to Gibralfaro Castle, a lovely spot with splendid views. Then walk down the paved path to the Alcazaba fortress and then to the cathedral and the shops. Taxi to Playa de la Malagueta, for a quick swim and then 10 minute walk back to the ship.

La Alcazaba fortress

La Alcazaba hill top fortress offers great views of the town and ocean. Tivoli World is great for the family with flamenco shows and open-air theatres. Or from Malaga visit Granada and the Alhambra Palace at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Playa de la Malagueta

The beach offers several small restaurants serving beverages and snacks. We enjoyed some of the local beer with a plate of home made olives that was simply wonderful.
