Oceana and Arcadia in dry dock

P&O cruise has the Oceana and the Arcadia in dry dock for part of November and December 2017 for a multi-million pound renovation. When i first read about the dry dock plans the first thought that crossed my mind was It is about time!

Both P&O ships will be ready for Christmas and New Year. Both ships will be keeping their unique character and key feature to their guests whilst improving designs and comforts

The Arcadia is due to return in service on the 15th November 2017 with a short cruise from Southampton to Zeebrugge, Belgium. The refit includes the refurbishment of its cabins including a new design for  Suites, public areas, restaurants and bars. The atrium and reception will also be refurbished offering a wow factor.

The Oceana will enter dry dock at the end of November, the refit will include a revamp of all cabins and suite, a new flooring for the Atrium, buffet restaurant lounges spa and gym.

The Oceana will focus in the children’s areas too with new entertainment and revamps. Other outdoor areas like the Terrace Bar will be improved and refurbished with the addition of a canopy over the pool that will extend to cover the bar area, new hot tubs, new flooring and surfaces. The Ventura will be ready on time for sailing to the Canaries from Southampton on 17th December 2017

Do you think P&O could invest some money renovating other ships in their fleet or should they be investing in launching a new and better ship?
