What’s happening with the world

We’ve all seen on the news the devastation that’s happening in the world with Hurricane Irma, the many lives that she’s taken and the devastation that’s she’s done to peoples home’s and much more.

It’s something that I’ve been following for myself and for work as we have many people ringing us up asking about there holidays and what’s going to happen, many of the cruise lines have been really good in letting us know straight away so we can let customer’s know. Giving customer’s full refunds back as they can’t travel on there holiday any more, and really helping customer’s who were on there cruises at the time. Now everyone looks forward to your holiday and for many people they’ve saved a long time to travel on this holiday and for many people it could have been once in a life time trip, but people who haven’t travelled are lucky as they could go another time, but what about all these people that live in these places that took away there homes car’s everything they own, but worst still some people have lost there lives due to Irma. These are the people that I really feel sorry for. How long is it going to take them to get a new home for many places having to rebuild there whole life back.

We’ve all seen the pictures in the newspapers and on the news the beautiful Caribbean island that look nothing like there used to do before, airports have been smashed to bits, that they will now have to rebuild now and how long will this take them? some could take years and what happens to this place’s when the tourist can’t go and see and have a holiday there? its the locals again that it will hurt the most as they won’t be getting any money from us tourist’s.

I read in one newspaper that NCL the Escape had taken there customer’s on-board the ship back to Miami twos before she was due in Miami to let people off who wanted to get off before Irma hit Miami and the People that decided to say on the ship could do, One women Said the Captain said that there was enough food, water and most important she said booze to last them, NCL Escape has been floating on the Ocean till she can safely get back to Miami or another islands port.

Many of the cruise lines ;like Royal Caribbean, NCL and many more are stocking up with supply’s and taking them to the islands where people have nothing, which I thought was a lovely thing to do and more cruise lines need to do this that can do it.
