Weddings at Sea

Cruise lines have been doing weddings at sea for many years and I’ve known many people get married on cruise ships and it just sounds amazing and the photos look lovely.

When you decide to get married you want your special day to be amazing, you’ve been dreaming about this day since you was little ( well I have) but how much does it cost to get married on cruise lines and what do you get for your money?

Princess charge from $2500 for there tie the knot at seas which I don’t think that’s bad, my Cousin has just got married here in the UK and he’s just spent £12,000 on his wedding which I think is a lot of money for one day. I know if you get married on a cruise ship then you have the added expense of paying for your cruise and then the guest having to pay for there cruise but your all get a really lovely holiday out of it as well. I really wanted to get married on a cruise ship but its some of guest that wouldn’t be able to afford it so do I stay in the uk and get married somewhere that I don’t want to get married for them or do we do it away and not have them people come? which ever way I choose I will upset myself or the family.

Another thing if you wanted to get married on a P&O, Princess or Cunard ship they now offer same sex marriages this has come from the recent supreme court ruling in Bermuda, the ruling permits any Bermuda-registered cruise ship offering weddings at sea packages the opportunity to offer same sex marriages. I think this is excellent news and now more people can have there weddings at sea.

Ceremonies will be performed by the ships captain or deputy captain, with marriage licenses issued by Bermuda. P&O packages will start from £1200, and Cunard will start from $3400 for the Queen Mary 2 and $2800 on the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Victoria and Cunard have already taken there first booking for a same sex marriage at seas.
