Cruise Ship to have the First underwater lounge

Ponant a Luxury cruise line that specializes in small Luxury ships, will debut the world’s first underwater lounge on cruise ships that will allow passengers to view ocean life.

The cruise line is planning on a debuting four new cruise ships that will have the blue eye lounges that will allow passengers to not only see the ocean life but to hear the ocean and the animals that they see.

The Lounges will be equipped with a sound system that will be able to capture the marine mammal sound within a three mile radius of the ship. The viewing sofas and seats will vibrate in unison with the noise of the marine life that will allow guests to be at the heart of the underwater world.

The lounges will hold up to 40 passengers at a time and be equipped with non-intrusive underwater lights. This will allow guest to observe the ocean floor, Fish and Plant life

Not only will they be two large oval shaped portholes for viewing the ocean life, but the lounge will also have several high resolutions screens that will show live feeds from the underwater cameras that will be placed on the front, back and center of the ship’s hull, Guest will also be able to view the live underwater videos on their TV’s in the comfort of their own stateroom.

This sounds amazing and I hope many more cruise lines do this too, it would be magical seeing and hearing the ocean life while sailing, especially if you go somewhere like the Indian ocean or the Caribbean that the waters are so clear you would be able to see so much. I can just imagine sailing away from a port and sitting in this lounge seeing and hearing everything that is under Neath us, all the different colored fish and all the other animals it sounds amazing.
