Which cruise lines are best for drinks packages?

When you book your cruise it might not be the first thing you think about. Most choose a cruise based on the itinerary and the facilities on the ship.

Recently more people have been asking for an all-inclusive cruise.

I must admit, I do love a drinks package and even if it wasn’t included in the price I would probably purchase one.

Just recently Norwegian cruise lines went all-inclusive so drinks and gratuities are included in the standard package. What we have found is that the prices have been increased to reflect this.

Thomson have also made 2 of their ships all-inclusive. Both TUI Discovery ships come with all-inclusive drinks and gratuities as standard. The prices are higher than the other ships but not a massive amount!

Azamara also include drinks and tips as standard to keep in line with the luxury brands like Regent and Silverseas who also include the drinks as standard.

Most of the luxury brands have drinks included and other extras as standard. Regent even included shore excursions as standard.

There are lots of special offers at the moment where drinks are included as part of their current promotions.

Royal Caribbean have a promotion where you pay for 1 adult and et the 2nd adult for ½ the price and free deluxe drinks package.

Celebrity cruise have a very similar promotion including their classic drinks package.

Costa cruising are offering their Brindiamo package for free for next year on selected cruises. If you like cocktails it is worth upgrading to the Piu Gusto package. This can be upgraded while you are on-board. Even to buy the package this is worth it because the drinks are a bit pricy.

Thomson are also offering a free all-inclusive package for the other ships during summer 2018 and selected cruises in the winter months. Ring me to find out specific dates. They also include gratuities as standard, so no tipping needed. I wouldn’t pay for the drinks package with Thomson, the drinks are not as pricey as some of the other American cruise lines. At a cost of £29pp per night I just wouldn’t get my money’s worth out of the package. My husband would have a good go!

Fred Olsen have a drinks package for £20pp per night but again it is sometimes reduced depending on the cruise. This package is great value even at the full price. I found the wine and beer was good. Shame there are no cocktails or prosecco included. The Cava was nice though.

Cruise and Maritime offer a drinks package for £17pp per night.

MSC do a package for £20pp per night, however this will cost more on cruises outside Europe. This package is one of the best all-inclusive packages at sea. I would highly recommend. The cocktails are yum!

P&O and Cunard only do a soft drinks package or wine packages.. will this change I wonder!

I have not listed all the cruise lines, but there is a list on our website with all the prices and the average cost of drinks.

cheers!
