Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

With Christmas just a few days away, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Its all go in our household. Having a 5-year-old must be one of the best ages for celebrating!

The 1st of December was a busy day! Christmas jumper day at school and the theme was crafty so they spent a lot of the day making decorations for the tree.

Then our tree also must go up on 1st December.

It was waiting for her when she got home from school! Grandma had bought her some new decorations, so they took pride of place first and then the rest were scattered around the tree with blue and white flashing lights!

We also started with the elf on the shelf. The elf decides if Ella has been naughty or nice! He also does something naughty each night so when we wake up there is some surprise in stall.

It is lovely to see her face each morning looking for the elf!

Ella’s 1st school nativity was amazing! Her whole class were snowflakes! Don’t thing the boys were too impressed having to dress in white! The singing was fantastic and we have a DVD to share with everyone.

She had been practising the songs for weeks and it really paid off!

I had my annual girl’s day out with my friends on Monday. We started off with lunch in a Brazilian restaurant called Fezenda. When I went to Rio a few years ago we went in a similar restaurant. The concept is a cold salad bar. Then you are served different meat at the table.

Hold up a green board and them means keep the meat coming, hold up a red board and that means we have had enough for now. Not sure I really got my money’s worth, but it was delicious! My husband would have tried very hard to get his money’s worth!

Tomorrow we will be visiting Santa. The package is excellent. It is at a local farm where they have petting animals. First you have a story with Mrs Christmas, photo opportunity on a life-size sleigh, elf workshop where they create a nice list and then finally visit Santa himself.

Christmas eve is a crib service at Church. Ella will dress up as an angel with the other children and the Christmas story will be celebrated. We may also pop to the pub just over the road!

One of my friends is off to the Caribbean for Christmas. Most are celebration with family.

What have you planned for the festive season?

Hope you have a great time!
