First look at Celebrity Edge

Celebrity cruises have just released details of their brand new ship, Celebrity Edge.

The cruises went on sale on Monday and are offering 7 night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean sailing out of Fort Lauderdale in Florida in 2018 and 2019.

I am a big fan of celebrity cruises and recently enjoyed a mini cruise on the Eclipse over to France. I hope they keep the Celebrity favourites like the atrium, martini bar and lawn club!

The new Celebrity edge will also be a new class of ship for Celebrity. World famous architects have helped design the ship and have taken the modern luxury to the next level!

The ship looks amazing!  Attention has been given to designing 2 new suites and doubling the capacity of suites. This is fantastic news because every time I check the availability for a suite on Celebrity they are always sold out! Some Celebrity customer’s clearly like that extra space to themselves!

The 2 new category of suite are..

Iconic suites – these are located above the bridge, so you can only imagine what the view will be like! 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 270 degree view of the ocean – 2600 square feet of pure luxury!

Edge villas – 2 storey windows with amazing views and private plunge pool

All suite guest have access to the retreat which is a private area to relax with its own private pool and butler on hand to assist.

New to Celebrity edge is the infinite veranda which is a little bit like having a French balcony. If you have ever been on a river cruise you will be familiar with these. I love them. It is like having a large open window. I think they will be popular.

One feature which will stand out on the Celebrity Edge is the Magic Carpet! I think you have to see it to believe it!

The Magic carpet will scale 16 decks and become different venues throughout the day time and evening. The travelling platform can seat 90 guest for diner and will be cantilevered off the side of the ship offering a very unique experience.
