An Arctic expedition verse Mediterranean Magic

The days are getting shorter and the cold weather has just set in! I took my daughter to the park on Saturday and there was a real chill in the air. Hats and gloves are officially out!

All this cold got me thinking about cruses for next summer and the options available.

So if you had the choice, which would you go for next year?

Here are a couple of ideas that might take your fancy…

This Arctic cruise caught my eye because of the amazing itinerary. You would have to have a spare 27 nights to experience this trip but wow what a trip it is!

The cruise sails from Dover next July and takes in Norway and the Arctic Circle, Iceland, Greenland and the Faro islands. The Black Watch is the smallest of the Fred Olsen ships will take on this expedition and prices start from £4399pp for an inside cabin.

Norway has the most stunning scenery I have ever seen. The scenic cruising is amazing!

Iceland is like no other place I have ever seen. The unspoilt wilderness, natural springs and waterfalls are truly breath-taking!

Or would you prefer something a little warmer?

You could spend 2 nights in Venice and then cruise for 8 nights on the 5* Azamara Quest.

Venice, Italy - April 11, 2015: A couple in a gondola moving down a small Venice canal beside the Doge.s palace. The canal is Rio de Palazzo o de Canonica.

This cruise calls at some lovely ports in the Mediterranean including Kotor in Montenegro which is like the Norway of the Mediterranean! So if you like the stunning views of the Fjords this is a great choice!

You will also call at Corfu in Greece is my favourite Greek island. You can explore the beautiful towns on the island or simply enjoy the capital with the bustling shops, bars and restaurants.

The cruise also calls at the ancient city of Taormina in Sicily with beautiful cobbled streets and spectacular views from the Roman theatre.

The Azamara Quest is Departing in July, the price of this trip is from £2499pp which includes your drinks on the cruise and tips.

So which would most appeal to you?

Have you been to any of these places? What did you think?

Thanks for reading
