Combine the best of both worlds, journey through mesmerising urban landscapes and under some of the world's most beautiful bridges to the idyllic countryside. Visit the Capital of Love, Paris and historic Normandy Beaches of World War 2.
The River Seine combines the best of both worlds, journey through mesmerising urban landscapes and under some of the world’s most beautiful bridges to the idyllic countryside and diverse landscapes of epic forests and picturesque vineyards offering panoramic views of France’s heartland.
This charming and elegant waterway follows along the Seine Valley, winding through iconic cities and lesser known regions of the Normandy, revealing the Seine’s timeless beauty. Sail through the culture and romance of Paris, rustic charm of Melun and see the garden that inspired many of Claude Monet’s masterpieces. The Seine without a doubt is the best-known river in France. The name of the Seine derives from the Latin sequana or ‘snake’. After glancing at the river on a map you will immediately appreciate how it got its name - it meanders, snakelike, through the countryside, from the heart of France to the Normandy Coast. Winding through the countryside, the seine takes passengers to some of the most beautiful, picturesque and storied locations. Explore Monet’s Giverny and historic Rouen.
The river Seine is the longest and most-used inland river in France, carrying the bulk of commercial traffic. The length of the river between Paris and the sea is nearly 240 miles, but the distance as the crow flies is only 110 miles. The Seine rises at Saint Seine, in France’s Burgundy region, near Dijon in eastern France close to the Swiss Alps. The Seine cuts straight through Paris, and with the help of 6 locks and weirs to maintain a constant water level in the capital, flows into Normandy before emptying into the English Channel at Le Havre.

The river Seine in Paris became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991, and offers stunning views of iconic landmarks such as the Notre Same Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower which cannot be achieved anywhere else apart from on the river Seine.
