Would you consider cancelling your cruise if there was some bad reviews

In the last week I received two separate phone calls from clients who had booked Royal Caribbean cruises through myself on the new Anthem of the Seas and the Splendour of the Seas saying that they were considering cancelling their bookings due to some negative reviews that they had read on our site and elsewhere.

I was quite shocked by this especially as I had recently been on the Anthem of the Seas myself personally and was so impressed by it. I re-assured my clients that these ships are very popular and the feedback I get from my clients on them is predominantly positive.

I had a look at the reviews myself and although there are some negative reviews, these are vastly outweighed by positive ones, you can take a look for yourself here.

I guess people will often feel more compelled to write about a negative experience than a positive one but there are still lots of people who write reviews on our site to say how happy they are with their cruises.

Someone said to me the other day, if you feel worried about some reviews on a ship you haven’t sailed on look up the reviews on your favourite ship, you will see that some people will have also left some negative reviews on that.

I have been on many cruise ships and although not everyone was without fault I would happily sail on any of them again and know that I would have a great time.

We still give away Berlitz guides worth £17.99 on our site to reviewers as a thank you for submitting a review, just remember the positive reviews are just as important as the negative ones.
