Humans vs robots…

One of the new features of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum class ships is that they have some robotic bar tenders serving drinks.  I have to say that even though I love all of my gadgets and modern technology I am not that exited or impressed by this. The reason being is I feel you just can’t beat a decent bar maid.  In my mind there is no competition between a robot and a pretty barmaid like the one pictured above.

Fortunately Royal Caribbean will be having mainly human bar tenders still and the robotic ones will only be in one particular bar.

There are plenty of things robots are good at especially in factories but I think you just can’t beat decent human interaction.

Another perfect example is us here at cruise.co.uk, the website is a great tool for searching, reading reviews, looking at pictures and videos but when you want first rate service and help with your booking my advice is to speak to a specialist consultant like myself as a computer or robot just can’t compete, thankfully 🙂
