The BIG 30!!

By the time you read this, I would be halfway through my annual leave, and I would have just come back from my weekend away in Manchester.  But my annual leave doesn’t end there, I still have an extra couple of days off in order to celebrate my birthday, where I’ll be hitting the big 30!  You could say over the last couple of weeks I have been having a slight panic, my older step-sister is constantly winding me up saying it’s all down hill from 30, but I’m sure she is just saying that because she is 35!  Although my other half seems to think I have had what we like to call a mid-life crisis.

Those who know me, know I’m no the spontaneous type, I don’t just go out and do things or book things, I research them, look at a couple of reviews.  I then like to ponder whether I am doing the right thing and then eventually book or get round to it.  So last week I did 2 spontaneous things, I booked a mini cruise for December 2018 (you can never be too prepared) and also a weekend in Benidorm for February 2018.  I don’t know what got into me, I just decided that you only live once, and you should always live life to the full and do things that make you happy – cruising and holidays – what can I say!  So when I do hit the big 30 next Wednesday, I am going to make a new bucket list, and get one of those blank maps of the world you can buy on eBay and scratch or colour in for every country you have been too, and see how far around the world I can get by the time I am 40!

So “CHEERS” for turning 30, and making more memories!  PS – I haven’t changed a bit!  Well maybe except my hair!
