Back to Garda!

Last year, I travelled out to Italy to meet a group of around 160 clients who disembarked in Genoa from a cruise and escort them to Lake Garda and then on to Venice.

This package proved to be one of our most popular. This Tuesday, I will be flying out to meet this year’s group which has grown in size to over 350 passengers. They are currently enjoying a cruise on the stunning ship MSC Preziosa having left Southampton this afternoon and will be heading for La Coruna in Spain, Lisbon, Gibraltar and Barcelona before arriving in Genoa on Wednesday. The next three nights will be spent exploring beautiful Lake Garda before travelling to Venice for two nights via Verona.

The Italian lakes are stunning at any time of year and this will be my fifth visit to Venice where I still get lost in the myriad of paths and canals and will never tire of the “City of Bridges”. As last year, we will be staying in Venice Mestre which is on the mainland as hotels on the island are small and generally inaccessible for any groups. It is easy to get onto Venice island by water taxi, road taxi or bus.

This type of holiday is my favourite type as it is lots of little holidays in one package. Firstly, you experience seven nights on a luxury cruise ship with all these amazing ports of call. Next, you will be on a lakeside with plenty of time to explore the local towns and then on to one of the most iconic destinations in the world.

Next year we are offering the same package departing on 22nd October on MSC Magnifica from Southampton calling at Le Havre, Leixoes, Lisbon, Cadiz, Barcelona and Marseille before being met in Genoa to continue to Garda and Venice from just £1049 per person.
