This is the life.

As you read this post I will be sunning myself on board the beautiful Celebrity Reflection. I do love my job and this is the reason I do it. I am one lucky lady who gets to work for a living selling the one thing I love to do myself Cruising. This time we are doing the 11 night Western Mediterranean itinerary with a pre night at the San Giorgio hotel in the pretty port of Civitavecchia and then a further 2 nights in Rome. I have been to Rome before but this is a first for my husband. We are travelling with 6 of our best friends and one is also a first time cruiser. It as taken me 18 years to persuade him to come with us. John is like a lot of people who think cruising is a glorified ferry. I cannot wait to see his face when we walk into the grand atrium of this ship. Even his wife is telling me that he is getting a bit excited now. Can you imagine the pressure I am under to get this right.

I know this is Equinox but sister ship to Reflection. Ports of call include La Spezia, Villefranche, Barcelona overnight, Malaga, Gibraltar, Ibiza and Cartagena. We have no excursions booked but have planned to explore on our own as most of these ports are easily accessible.

It as been a busy year here at Cruise.Co.UK and I feel really ready for my holiday. We work hard but play hard too. It was only last weekend I had a weekend away in York with my work colleague Anne Eaves who as worked for Cruise longer than me. Ax we are home workers we try to meet each other as often as possible to build a good work play relationship. We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Middletons which is made up of a collection of 5 Grade 11 listed buildings built around a pretty courtyard. 56 bedrooms all very tastefully furnished and only a 5 minute walk from the main shopping area. A little oasis right in the middle of this Historic City. If visiting be sure to give it a try.

Last night we went into Harrogate our nearest town to celebrate our Daughters 20th Birthday as we will be away on the actual day. I am sure you all know the handsome Italian Gino D’Acampo, well he as just opened a restaurant there and that is where we had dinner. It as only just opened so very busy. We could not get into the main dining area but we in the Prosecco Lounge. which is a roof top area with a retractable roof giving it a Mediterranean feel. It was a really enjoyable evening with an amazing party atmosphere and it stayed dry so the roof was opened up. They have a cute photo booth which is free (could not believe this). You chose a background and print off as many pictures as you like. It can even look like Gino is in the pictures with you.

So when I return I will tell you my thoughts on Celebrity. I have sailed with them previously but understand dress codes etc have changed so speak to you again soon.
