That time of year again.

Yes Christmas however this is not what I am referring to.

Cruise.co.uk Annual Conference. We are such a fast growing Company that year this for the first time (other than when P & O had ship problem) we have had to hold this event land based rather than sea.

With the vast majority of the sales team being home workers it is for some the only time we actually get to meet our colleagues. One of our appointed team managers has the task of arranging everything from venue to sponsors and once again she came up trumps. After months of discussions with various Cruise Lines she found that Conference 2017 could not be held at sea. This was a big disappointment for many however BUTLIN’S RESORT Skegness came to our rescue. Now this is where the original holiday camps first started back in 1936 but my how things have changed. We were all allocated Seaside Apartments very close to the venues and I must admit was very pleasantly surprised. Immaculately clean and warm with all modern home style amenities. We were given our own conference room with refreshment facilities. Our own dining room and best of all a bright modern bar with a dance floor and karaoke to chill till midnight.

This weekend a special adults only event was also being held 1960’s themed. So in five of the public venues various artists were performing hits from that era. We did not get to see much as this took place throughout the day whilst we were in conference but to name a few
The Easybeats, Marmalade, Swinging Blue Jeans, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Dreamers, The Searchers and Amen Corner the list goes on. Along with various tribute acts. The Elvis one was packed out and we could not get a look in. Everyone got well and truly into the sing of things and dressed in various outfits from rock and roll to Mary Quant and I do not mean just the ladies. So on our first night we all decided to jump on the band wagon and do this ourselves.

We the sales team would be lost without our tean of admin staff and they decided to all come as a film from the 60’S see if you can guess which one.

Even our CEO got into the swing of things as Elvis.

Once again a good time was had bad all and we are all ready to look after your holiday needs in 2018.

Team Chezza having a bonding session.

Having a lovely catch up with our recruitment manager

I would just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
