New competition for the Big Boys.

This week we have seen another amazing New Cruise Ship Launch. This time she is ranked as being within the top 5 biggest in the world. Royal Caribbean I hear you say ?

Say hello to MSC’s latest edition to their fleet, Meraviglia, making the 5000 plus passenger cruise ship number 13 within the fleet. Standing 19 decks hight and 1000 ft long Meraviglia as a host of many firsts for MSC.

This glamorous glitzy floating resort was christened in Le Harve last Saturday night by her Godmother, the iconic beauty herself Sophia Loren. An amazing night was experienced by all lucky enough to attend the welcoming ceremony. Meraviglia will be based in the Mediterranean for the remainder of 2017 then doing Northern European itineraries in 2019 before heading out to Miami to crack the American Market.

When talking to clients about various cruise lines they mainly comment that the Ships are lovely but service, food and entertainment let them down. Well they are really upping their game, raising the standard of cuisine and partnering with Cirque Du Soleil who have put together performances just for this Ship.

The amazing signature Swarovski staircases are still there but the open feel of an inside promenade with an array of shops and eateries does give a similar feel to Royal and NCL. However MSC do have there own wow factor too.

I do intend to try her for myself before she sails off to the States. But knowing MSC they will have something else up their sleeve.
