It’s only a rumour……. but

With another new ship launch planned for next year rumours are rife that she MAY be ready earlier than expected so there MAY be a pre Maiden cruise.

Avid cruisers always enjoy a Maiden voyage on a brand new cruise ship, but more recently this as not always been the case. We all know there is always a press cruise, travel trade cruise and a naming ceremony followed but the red carpet treatment to welcome the first passenger voyage. This is truly a memorable occasion and I have been lucky enough to have attend a few over the years in travel.

Royal Caribbean’s latest edition to the Oasis Class of ships Symphony of the Seas is rumoured to be ready even earlier than expected so what are Royal to do?

Yes a pre Maiden cruise. I must stress this is only a rumour.

The beautiful 5400 plus passenger floating resort is due to sail from Barcelona doing a 7 night Western Mediterranean on the 21st April 2018 and there is still availability although very limited. She will remain doing this throughout the summer of 2018 until she re positions
on 12 night transatlantic back to Miami to sail the Caribbean in the winter.

Symphony will have the Ultimate Abyss the 10 story water slide, Splashaway Bay an amazing water park for the children, Central Park and the seven other iconic neighborhoods but in the words of Royal Caribbean “but just got better”.

So watch this space if you fancy being the first to try this mind blowing experience.
