Royal Caribbean Make a Show and Dance of it

February 19, 2015

If you’re a regular cruise-goer then  you’ll be familiar with the selection of entertainment on-board various vessels. So you’re bound to be delighted by Royal Caribbean’s latest announcement. The cruise line has unveiled two new shows on-board its latest Quantum-class cruise ship Anthem of the Seas.

Alongside the popular Broadway musical We Will Rock You, which features the greatest hits of legendary British rock group Queen, Royal Caribbean is delivering two new shows that have been created exclusively for Anthem of the Seas – The Gift and Spectra’s Cabaret.

The Gift will take passengers on a musical journey filled with fantasy and illusion. The show starts off with a stormy night setting in which the arrival of a magical gift makes for an exciting storyline. The production is bound to captivate its viewers and leave them talking about it for the rest of their stay.

Spectra’s Cabaret will be shown inside Anthem of the Seas’ entertainment space Two70. Created by Moment Factory, this show combines live performances with pop music and digital imagery to deliver an eclectic, exciting spectacle.

With kaleidoscopic sounds, bright colours and plenty of on-stage movement, passengers can watch in awe as Spectra’s Cabaret takes them on a musical journey that’s truly out of this world.

Anthem of the Seas is currently under construction at Meyer Werft’s Papenburg shipyard in Germany. It will undergo thruster and stabiliser tests in the shipyard’s harbour on Saturday (February 21st).

It is scheduled to embark on a series of summer sailings from Southampton later this year. Planned itineraries include the Mediterranean to Cape Liberty in New Jersey, as well as a seven to 12-night cruise to the Bahamas and the Caribbean in November.

Which shows are you most looking forward to watching on-board the Anthem of the Seas?
