P&O Ventura Cruise is Daniel Roche’s best ever holiday

A holiday aboard P&O Ventura has turned out to be the best ever holiday for one young celebrity. Daniel Roche, the breakout star of popular BBC sitcom Outnumbered, has been enjoying a trip on the vessel with his family.

Over the past seven years, the comedy showed his fictitious family, the Brockmans, to be dysfunctional in all number of hilarious ways. But in real life, Daniel has no such problems and made a video diary documenting the fun he had with his family while on the cruise ship for P&O.

In it, he talks about how for his first ever cruise, he went on a two-week tour of the Mediterranean with his family and a friend.

“This is only midway through the second week and I already feel like I’ve had the best holiday I’ve ever had,” said the 14-year-old, who delighted audiences over five series’ of the show opposite star Hugh Dennis.

He also gave the rundown on some of his top stops, including Naples, Rome and Corsica, his “favourite place on the planet”.

Young Daniel also talked about making friends through the kids club, something he didn’t expect, and fun activities such as late-night swimming.

He’s not the only celebrity with a love of cruise holidays. While the mega A-listers tend to prefer ultra-luxury and private charters, Cunard has always been popular with the international jetset.

The likes of David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Dame Julie Andrews, Sharon Stone and Meryl Streep have all undertaken transatlantic crossing with the cruise line. You’re still likely to see famous faces on cruises with the mainstream liners, although they’re probably there as entertainment, enjoying a sneaky holiday on the side with everyone else when they aren’t performing.
