Cruise Line SLASHES Internet Costs By 90%!

Carnival have announced that they are slashing internet prices by 90%.

In a world of ever increasing cruising internet prices, Carnival have announced this price drop as well as the expansion of their satellite system which allows for internet up to 10x faster than their previous service.

The new system will be available across their fleet of ships which includes Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, Aida Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, P&O and Fathom.

Carnival has previously offered a pay as you go system where you would pay up to £300 if you had stayed connected all day!

The fee has dropped to just £3.26 a day if you want a social media package to check sites such as Facebook. For full internet access, for example to check your emails, it is £9.79 a day. For a premium package that is suitable for Skype calls and music streaming it is £16.31 a day.

These different levels of packages are set to suit guests who want different levels of connection to the world whilst they are on holiday.

Vice President of global technology operations at Carnival Reza Rasoulain said: “We know that each of our guests is looking for something different when they cruise, whether that is being completely or partially unplugged from the internet or staying plugged in.”

“For those who want to stay connected with their life back home or research the next destination on their trip, we are offering faster, more reliable and more affordable options to give our guests what they are looking for.”

“With this approach, we are giving our guests faster internet speeds without constraining the time they can be online through our packages.”

www.CRUISE.co.uk have often heard from customers that pricey internet packages are one of their biggest bugbears about going on a cruise.

Do you think more lines should follow Carnival and slash their internet prices?
